Name Calling

Tony Isaac, March 28, 2006

Today, the theory of evolution has reached the status of unquestionable truth.  Anyone who disputes the theory is derisively labeled a "layman."  It is said that only well-educated "scientists" can understand evolution, and that ordinary people should simply "trust" them to explain how things really are.

One needs only to remember that for decades, "scientists" have insisted that men and women are not different from each other, except in how they are raised.  Thirty years ago, they preached that an ice age was coming.  Today, it is global warming that is undisputed scientific fact.

Another historical example is from the medieval times, when anyone who questioned "official" church doctrine was labeled a "heretic."  The clergy of the time could not support their doctrines logically, so they resorted to threats and violence against anyone who disagreed with their teaching.

When one's argument begins to lack credibility, it is human nature to use name-calling as a tactic, rather than admit defeat.  Evolutionists know that if children are taught that there might be more than one theory of how the Universe and life were created, they might not choose to believe their own point of view.  Since the argument itself is bankrupt, they resort instead to a shrill pitch.
